Nampa Narcan is hoping to reduce the number of opioid related overdoses and hospitalizations here in the Treasure Valley.
The initiative is a partnership with the Nampa Fire Department's EMS workers. The goal of the organization is to provide aid and resources to those struggling with addiction.
They take the guess work out of treatment options through peer coordination. Nampa Narcan owner, Jacob Evans tells CBS2,
"I think that one of the biggest hurdles for anyone seeking recovery, speaking as a former opioid addict myself, is that there is this huge gap in terms of the resources available versus our ability to navigate those resources," Evans said. He says at Nampa Narcan, they help guide those struggling with addiction by providing a path that works for them.
