A video of a Chicago firefighter working out in full gear at a gym has been circulating on Facebook, with many applauding his strength. The video was posted on Tuesday, the 17th anniversary of 9/11.
"Somebody buy that man a coffee," one person posted in the video's comments section.
The video was posted from Life Time Athletic in Burr Ridge. It shows the firefighter in full gear — including his helmet — working out on the Stairmaster.
"I was there and truly inspirational!" another person wrote. Many people included #neverforget in their comments.
Firefighters across the nation engage in stair climbs on the anniversary of 9-11, individually and in organized groups, walking up 110 flights of stairs to commemorate the climb the New York City firefighters began inside the World Trade Center towers. The tradition began in 2005.
