A Mokena man "involved in a structure fire" Saturday died in the emergency room, according to the Will County Coroner's Office. John L. McGrath, 68, was pronounced deceased at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox about 11:15 a.m. Saturday, the coroner's office said. Mokena Police Chief Stave Vaccaro said the fire remains under investigation but it appears the blaze started accidentally. "There's no indication of foul play," Vaccaro said. "At this point it appears accidental." McGrath was "involved" in the fire at his home on First Street just west of Wolf Road. A firefighter working Sunday said the call came in about 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
