Chicago area residents Brandon Mears (St. Charles) and Dan Polizzi (Oswego), also known as "The Towers of Power," are a firefighting duo competing on the hit TV show "American Ninja Warrior." On July 8, 2019, we saw Mears and Polizzi compete in the city qualifying round in Cincinnati where they competed against more than 100 athletes. The duo finished in the top 30, which qualified them for the city finals airing on NBC on Monday, Aug. 19, at 7 p.m. CST. "The Towers of Power" have been competing on the show for seven seasons and although they have each made it to the Las Vegas national finals in the past, they have never both made it to the finals in the same season. If Mears and Polizzi can finish in the top 12 on Aug. 19, it will be their first time competing together in the Las Vegas finals.
