Lexington firefighters battled flames at a Lexington business on Sunday afternoon. Reportedly fire crews were called to a building off South Forbes Road shortly before 3:00p.m. after a passerby saw smoke. When firefighters arrived they found one of the suites inside the building that houses a landscaping business had caught fire. Firefighters were able to knock down the flames within 15 to 20 minutes, though crews stayed on scene for a few hours checking for hot spots and investigating. Fire officials tell LEX 18 that one unit suffered significant damage, while other businesses in the building may have suffered smoke and water damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
