Bell County Firefighters had to battle a house fire and the homeowner Tuesday night. Middlesboro Police say 56-year-old David Mills kept interfering with firefighters as they tried to put out the fire. Police say Mills ran under a collapsing carport when a firefighter pulled him to safety. Mills then shoved the firefighter down an embankment. He then go into a car a drove it toward firefighters and when they got him out of the car, Mills began punching firefighters. Police say Mills’ home was destroyed and he was charged with assault.
