A 17-year-old escaped a large fire by jumping from a third-story window Wednesday afternoon, according to officials at the scene.
Multiple departments responded to The Mitchell Park Apartments in the 300 block of Grandview Drive around 1 p.m.
At one point, flames were shooting from the roof of the building.
The teen, a Beechwood High School Student, was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital and is expected to survive.
"We did have one person who was unable to get out of their apartment through the door and had to jump out of a window, a juvenile, and she was taken to Children's Hospital," the chief said.
