Fire Departments in Trigg County were called to two fires early Tuesday morning after the homes were struck by lightning. Shortly before 5:00 Trigg County Dispatch received calls from homeowners on Muddy Fork Lane and Skyline Drive about lightning striking their homes. Trigg County Emergency Director David Bryant says the home on Skyline Drive was completely destroyed. Bryant says the homeowners were not injured by the lightning strike of the fire. Firefighters from Trigg Lyon Fire Department remain on the scene. Meanwhile, Montgomery Fire Department was called to a log home on Muddy Fork Lane that was reportedly struck by lightnining. Montgomery Chief Doug Latham says the home sustained minor roof damage and damage to the electrical system inside the home.
