The Erlanger Fire/EMS Department received a 2017 Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters grant. The $171,004 grant will be used for the purchase of new self-contained breathing apparatus for the department. “Assistant Chief Dave McQuerry submitted grant information, Lieutenant Randy Godsey chaired the SCBA Committee (Deputy Chief Craig Stewart, Firefighter/EMT Chase Autry, Firefighter/Paramedic Brad Harden, Firefighter/Paramedic Brian Brownfield), and all of our members have been integral in the testing of demo units and providing invaluable feedback during the entire process,” said Fire/EMS Chief Todd Whitaker. “Together we look forward to preserving and improving the health and safety of our personnel while maintaining exemplary delivery of services to citizens.”
