Madisonville Fire Department responded to Oakdale Avenue for a report of a vacant mobile home fire early Sunday morning. An investigation was launched to determine the cause of the blaze, MFD reported. MFD noted a large tree had collapsed into the center of the trailer at 38 Oakdale Ave. Firefighters remained on scene for about two hours to ensure the fire was suppressed. Madisonville Police Department officers detained a possible arson suspect seen observing the scene from across the street, according to the report. MFD reported crews then responded to another fire at 990 Grapevine Road. A detached garage at the residence was full involved in flames 2:26 a.m. Sunday. The cause of the second fire appeared “suspicious,” but was deemed undetermined following an investigation, MFD reported. No injuries were reported in relation to the fires.
