State fire investigators have determined what caused a fire at a church on North Drive in Hopkinsville that was damaged in a fire Tuesday morning. Hopkinsville Fire Department Deputy Chief Bill Pyle said they were called to North Drive at 5:45 am for a report of a fire at The Upper Room House Of Prayer near the intersection of West 2nd Street. Pyle said flames and smoke were coming from the left front side of the building when firefighters arrived. No one was in the church at the time of the fire and state fire investigators have determined the fire was electrical in nature.
