A Maplewood Street home in Hopkinsville was damaged in a fire just before 8 pm Saturday. Hopkinsville Fire Department spokesman Captain Michael Pendleton said they were called to 1816 Maplewood Street for a report of a house fire and found the front of the home on fire. Pendleton said witnesses told firefighters kids had been shooting fireworks at the vacant home before the fire. No one was injured in the fire.
