Richardsville Fire Department says one of their firefighters is on the road to recovery.
Lt. Chris Taylor, sustained injuries during a two-story house fire on the 8900 block of Richardsville Road Tuesday night, according to Richardsville Fire Department chief Brian Lee.
The department shared an update on social media, saying Taylor is out of the hospital and home with his family. RFD says Taylor received treatment for his lungs after exposure to smoke and heat.
“Over the next few days, Chris received countless visitors, cards and prayers, which were a huge encouragement to him and his family. We can’t thank the community enough for your support and encouragement during this situation,” the department said. The fire department says doctors have said he has made great improvement and is expected to make a full recovery.
