VIDEO: A family of four was forced out of their home after it caught on fire Monday afternoon. The fire started just before 2:00 p.m. at a home at 1915 Mulberry. Firefighters with the Baton Rouge Fire Department said they arrived to find the garage engulfed in flames. The fire spread into the kitchen and hallway before being brought under control. The rest of the home received heavy smoke damage. Two vehicles in the driveway of the home also received heavy fire damage to the engine compartments. Red Cross was called to assist the four residents. The cause of this fire is undetermined at this time.
