The Scott Fire Department is conducting training that will prove useful as the city continues to grow. A post from the department on Wednesday night says that SFD trained at the Lafayette Fire Department Training Center earlier that night. The focus at Wednesday's session was "forceable entry into single and multiple family dwellings." Firefighters learned and trained on several entry methods using various tools and techniques. The post said this training exercise was just one of many that firefighters implement to "save life and property for the City of Scott and surrounding areas."
