A woman was injured Monday after a home collapsed in Uptown, according to the New Orleans Fire Department.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. at 1005 Louisiana Avenue. Firefighters said when they arrived on scene they found a home that was currently under renovation collapsed.
Both the owners of the property, as well as an additional man were on the premises at the time of the collapse, according to NOFD.
One resident received an injury to her foot as a result of construction debris striking her during the collapse, the report said.
New Orleans Emergency Medical Services (NOEMS) personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for further evaluation.
The New Orleans Police Department, Entergy as well as the city’s Safety and Permits Division responded to this incident.
