VIDEO/PHOTOS: Heavy smoke and flames were reported on the roof of the Caesar's Superdome in New Orleans on Tuesday. NOLA Ready confirmed the fire, urging residents to avoid the area. According to EMS spokesman Jonathan Fourcade says one worker had minor injuries from the fire. The person suffered burns to their face and arms and were taken to UMC for treatment. Fire officials confirmed a crew was pressure washing the roof when the fire broke out. They are investigating the extent of the damage and official cause, but it is currently believed to be an accidental fire due to pressure washing on the roof. According to the New Orleans Fire Department, 23 NOFD units were dispatched to the fire carrying 51 Fire Operations personnel to ensure adequate manpower was available in the event that the fire grew.
