It’s been a week of promotions and reason to celebrate at the Brockton Fire Department.
On Monday night, the City Council approved the promotions of 11 firefighters – from lieutenants to captains to deputy chiefs.
And those new deputy fire chiefs were officially sworn in on Wednesday morning during a short ceremony at Brockton City Hall.
With their families by their side, Edward. R. Williams, Jeffrey J. Marchetti and Joseph M. Solomon were all promoted from captain to deputy fire chief. City Clerk Anthony Zeoli performed the ceremony with Fire Chief Michael Williams, Mayor Bill Carpenter and their fellow deputy fire chiefs in attendance.
