PHOTOS: An MBTA bus caught fire along Huron Ave Tuesday afternoon in the squelching heat, prompting a quick response from firefighters and first responders. Fire officials said everyone was able to get out and there were no injuries reported. Shortly after 3 p.m. an MBTA bus reported it was on fire near 161 Huron Ave. Firefighters and police raced to the scene where they found an overhead power line fell on top of the bus, causing the fire. When it became clear the route 72 bus was unsafe, the driver and passengers evacuated, according to MBTA officials. Fire officials said they were able to put the fire out quickly. There was a 20-minute delay as crews worked to restore full service to the route, MBTA said.
