Firefighters responded to fires on Sunday evening and Monday night. At 6:41 p.m. on Sunday, firefighters responded to a fire at 6 Rosewood Drive and arrived on scene four minutes later, according to Ludlow Fire Chief Ryan Pease. Upon arrival, they could see smoke coming from the attached garage of a two-story home. The firefighters found access through the garage and quickly extinguished the fire that had engulfed some of the garage’s contents, Pease said. The fire was put out before it could reach the wooden structure of the building. No one was home during the fire and the residents were able to reoccupy that night. Neighbors who were outside reported the fire after hearing the sound of the garage’s heat detector and seeing smoke coming from the windows, according to the chief.
