Screams alerted two families who escaped an early-morning three-alarm fire in Quincy that destroyed a Copeland Street home and displaced 10 people Sunday. The fire started at about 5:30 a.m. and tore through a three-family home at 37-41 Copeland St. in West Quincy. Residents of the building were evacuated safely and one firefighter suffered a minor knee injury, Deputy Fire Chief Joe Jackson said. It’s the second fire to hit the building in six years. The house was a three-story building containing two apartments. An attached single-story brick building at one time was a business but was converted into a third residence. Michelle Justice, whose family lives on the second and third floors of the main building, said she awoke to screams and looked outside her window and saw flames.
