A two-vehicle crash caused a fuel truck to roll over and spill fuel on Route 28A on Thursday morning.
The crash, which also involved a 2018 GMC Acadia, occurred in the area of Long Pond Drive in front of 1248 Route 28A at 10:39 a.m., according to Bourne Deputy Fire Chief Paul Weeks and the Bourne Police Department.
Three people with minor injuries were taken to Falmouth Hospital by ambulance, including the two people who were in the fuel tanker and a woman who was driving the Acadia, Weeks said.
When firefighters arrived, the tanker was on its side. A split on the upper portion of the tank caused approximately 340 gallons of diesel fuel to leak onto the ground, prompting a response from the state’s hazmat team, Weeks said.
The fuel truck was righted by a tow truck, Weeks said, which stopped additional leaking.
