One woman was killed and at least one other person was injured in a multi-car crash Saturday night.
The female victim lost control of her car at about 6:30 p.m. on Page Boulevard near the intersection of Brookdale Drive. The car veered into oncoming traffic striking at least one more vehicle, said Ryan Walsh, police spokesman.
Two people, including the woman, were taken to Baystate Medical Center by ambulance. The second victim suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, Fire Department officials said.
Firefighters, who also responded to the crash, extricated at least one occupant from a vehicle involved in the collision, officials said.
Several cars were involved in the crash but no other people were seriously injured. Walsh did not say how many additional cars were struck in the crash.
