Crews put out large garage fire in Ludlow

VIDEO/PHOTOS: The Ludlow Fire Department reported a garage fire at a home in Ludlow on Friday evening. Crews were called to 192-194 Hubbard Street around 7:19 p.m. for a report of a fire. When they arrived, firefighters saw flames and large smoke coming out of the garage. Firefighters put out garage fire on Duryea Street in Springfield Ludlow firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to adjacent structures. The Ludlow Police as well as two crews from the Westover Fire Department and the Wilbraham Fire also helped extinguish the fire. Granby Fire and Belchertown Fire helped with medical assistance during the firefighting efforts. A nearby garage and home also suffered minor exterior heat damage. There we no injuries and the cause of the fire is accidental but still being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police.
