Investigators on Wednesday identified the four people killed in a devastating weekend fire in Worcester.
The deadly fire broke out early Saturday morning in the six-family building at 2 Gage St. Firefighters struck four alarms to call for additional resources to fight the fire.
Two people were found dead in the immediate aftermath of the fire, but two more victims were pulled from the rubble Monday. Several other residents were injured.
The building is a total loss, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by city officials and the ATF.
Joseph Garchali, 47, of apartment 3L; Christopher Lozeau, 53, of apartment 3R; Marcel Fontaine, 29, of apartment 3L; and Vincent Page, 41, of Sunderland Road were all killed in the fire.
According to police, the Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed their identities and notified family members.
