Somerset County House Fire Causes $170,000 In Damage

Maryland fire officials are investigating a Somerset County house fire. Deputies from the Somerset County Sheriff's Office discovered the fire on River Road in Westover around 1:15 a.m. Sunday. Firefighters from the Marion Volunteer Fire Department controlled the flames in approximately 60 minutes. No one was injured, but the fire caused an estimated $170,000 in damage, officials said. Investigators are still trying to determine where the fire started and how. Anyone with information is asked to call the Salisbury Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal at 410-713-3780.
