A truck caught fire in West Ocean City on Thursday morning, according to the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company service log. Video captured by Cesar Campos, who does volunteer for the fire department, shows firefighters arriving to the scene and extinguishing the fire. The blaze on the 12000 block of Ocean Gateway near Keyser Point Road was called in at 8:09 a.m. The area near the fire has a Verizon Wireless store, a liquor store and an auto repair shop. As soon as he heard the call about the fire, Campos said he got there as fast as he could even though he wasn't on call. Upon arrival, the truck was in flames so he started recording from across the street. "The fire lasted just a few minutes because the fire department responded quickly," Campos said. "The flames were high and close to the building."
