An 86-year-old woman rescued from a Crownsville house fire has died from injuries she suffered in the blaze early Saturday, according to Anne Arundel County Fire officials. Homeowner Mary Anderson died this weekend at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, authorities said Monday. Smoke alarms alerted Anderson and another woman who lives in the house to the fire just before 1:30 a.m.Saturday in the Waterbury Heights community. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department said calls to 911 came in reporting a home on fire in the 1100 block of Waterbury Heights Road. Neighbors told firefighters that Anderson was still in the upstairs back bedroom.
