A woman suffered potentially life-threatening burns in a fire that resulted in an estimated $750,000 in damages to a home and vehicles in the Poolesville area Monday.
The blaze began around noon on Sugarland Road in the northwestern portion of Montgomery County, according to fire department spokesman Pete Piringer.
Arriving firefighters encountered “pretty heavy fire conditions” in the garage of the home and several vehicles also caught fire, according to Piringer.
The woman, who was not identified, was transported to an area hospital burn unit with significant injuries, Piringer said.
