An accidental fire Thursday at a Trap Run Road home in Friendsville caused about $130,000 damage and left the occupant homeless, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office. No injuries were reported in the 4:29 a.m. incident at the single-story property, located at 775 Trap Run Road, occupied by Cheryl Fazio and owned by Kevin Moyer. Fazio was reportedly awakened by activated smoke detectors that alerted her to the fire. The dwelling was filled with smoke when she safely exited, investigators said. Investigation determined the fire was electrical in nature and originated in the interior dining room. Assistance to the victim was being provided by neighbors, investigators said. Friendsville Volunteer Fire Department directed the fire operation. Thirty volunteer firefighters responded following alert by the Garrett County 911 emergency center.
