One person was hospitalized after a house fire in Laurel, fire officials say. The fire in the 9000 block of Dumhart Road was reported around 12:30 a.m. Monday morning. Two adults inside the house were able to get out of the burning home, according to fire officials, but one was taken to an area hospital for possible smoke inhalation. Howard County firefighters had help from Prince George's and Anne Arundel County fire departments. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
