Police in Maryland say a man charged with murder and arson had left a bag containing items with his name and address at the crime scene, which was roughly one mile from his home. News outlets report that investigators used the labeled items to find 35-year-old Jason Butler Nichols and arrest him in Catonsville. Charging documents also say that Nichols told authorities he was at the scene in Glen Burnie when the fire started and identified the man who was fatally beaten, 57-year-old Dennis Lee Perry Sr. Anne Arundel County police spokeswoman Sgt. Jacklyn Davis says firefighters extinguished Perry’s burning recreational vehicle on Monday and found his body inside.
