A D.C. man has died after igniting an illegal firework on Friday night, DC Fire and EMS reported Saturday. The identity of the man has not been released at this time. "Please, leave the fireworks to the professionals and stay safe," DC Fire tweeted Saturday. The death of the man in the accident comes after a 9-year-old boy suffered a life-changing hand injury while setting off fireworks inside his D.C. home on Wednesday. Police warned the community about the dangers of fireworks ahead of the Fourth of July weekend.
