Salisbury Mayor Jake Day announces three city employees have tested positive in relation to last week’s positive case within the Salisbury Fire Department.
this brings the total count to five city employees who have tested positive for the virus.
Officials say members who may have come into contact with last week’s positive case are being tested.
Two of the three employees who tested positive were asymptomatic, meaning they didn’t experience any problems.
We’re told the third employee did lose their sense of taste.
Salisbury Fire Chief, John Tull says “As a precaution and based on CDC guidelines, these members will not return to work for 10 days post positive testing. Should these members begin to experience any symptoms, their leave time will be extended.”
