A house fire in Eden on Monday morning is estimated to have caused $650,000 in damages, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
At least 40 firefighters responded to the scene located at 3500 block of Redden Ferry Road just before 9 a.m., getting the blaze under control in 20 minutes. The primary department on scene was the Allen Volunteer Fire Department.The house contained several antiques that were destroyed, along with two vehicles, according to a release. No injuries or deaths were reported.
The preliminary cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The structure that caught fire was a two-story, wood frame, single family house. The structure loss is estimated at $450,000 with contents tallying $200,000.
