A truck driver was critically injured after crashing into a building near Route 40 in Aberdeen this afternoon, said the Maryland State Fire Marshal's office.
The 43-year-old driver struck Stack & Store, on South Philadelphia Road near Route 715 at about 12:59 p.m.
The accident sparked a fire, leaving the driver with second-degree and third-degree burns to his upper body as well as smoke inhalation.
He was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview by ambulance.
The crash also caused about $100,000 in damage, including the 2021 GMC Denali truck.
