Crews were on the scene of a fire involving six rowhomes in southwest Baltimore on Thursday night.
Firefighters responded to the 600 block of South Payson Street in the Carrollton Ridge neighborhood just before 8 p.m., Baltimore Fire Department Spokeswoman Blair Adams said.
"Once firefighters arrived on the scene, there were three homes that were fully involved, which immediately spread to three adjacent homes which caused us to strike out a second alarm for additional units," Adams said.
In total, six homes -- four occupied and two vacant -- on fire with flames coming through the roof, officials said.
Adams said no injuries have been reported and all the occupants made it out of the homes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
