A residential fire is under investigation in Harford County.
According to fire officials, they were notified of a fire in the 300 block of Tanglewood Court just after 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
25 fire officials from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company responded to the fire and took about 10 minutes to control the flames discovered by a neighbor.
Officials say the fire was contained in the bathroom of the single family dwelling, totaling about $50,000 in damages. Significant smoke, soot and water damage were noted throughout the home and the preliminary cause of the fire remains under investigation.
While the fire is under investigation, investigators said they cannot rule out a failure of a hairdryer. Friends and family are assisting the owner.
Two dogs and two cats were able to be rescued by neighbors and firefighters. No injuries or deaths were reported.
