Rockport crash sends one to Bangor hospital with serious injuries

Rockport firefighters and Rockport and Camden police responded to a single-car crash on Meadow Street in Rockport tonight just after 7:30 p.m. While the driver was able to exit the car, firefighters had to extricate the passenger with the Jaws of Life. Police said Tuesday, March 13, that Josh Peaslee, 31, of Appleton, was transported via LifeFlight the night before from Pen Bay Medical Center to Eastern Maine Medical Center, in Bangor, with serious injuries. The driver, John Dodge, 33, of Rockport, was arrested and charged with OUI. He was transported to the Knox County Jail in Rockland. Dodge had suffered no injuries at the cash, police said.
