A Westbrook man was seriously hurt in a crash in Standish Sunday night. Police say the crash happened at 11:52 p.m. near the intersection of Pequawket Trail and Ossipee Trail West. As emergency crews were on their way, they were told the vehicle was on fire and someone was trapped inside. Police say 32-year-old Andrew Leeman had come from an event nearby and was speeding when he tried to pass someone going around a sharp corner on Pequawket Trail. Police say he lost control, went off the road and crashed into two large rocks, moving the rocks and leaving the car on its side. Firefighters had to stabilize the vehicle, a 2015 Ford Taurus, before they could cut him out. Leeman was taken to the hospital to be treated for what police said were serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
