The American Red Cross is assisting two adults after a house fire at 13 Bowdoin Street in Brunswick early Monday morning. The three-alarm fire happened shortly after midnight, according to a social media post by the Bath Professional Firefighters labor union. Heavy smoke and high heat were coming out of the two-story home when first responders arrived, with fire in the basement, first story, second story, and attic, the Brunswick Fire Department said in a release Monday. The damage to the home is extensive, and the house is no longer livable, the release stated. Red Cross of Northern New England said it is providing disaster health services, financial assistance, blankets, and comfort kits to help the people who have been displaced.
