News 8 Investigates has received the report from Topsham police detailing the monster truck crash at the Topsham Fairgrounds on Saturday. The report concludes there will be no criminal charges pursued as a result of the crash. The report filed by Topsham Police Patrol Sergeant Mark Gilliam says he arrived at the Fairgrounds at about 2:05 p.m. on Saturday, about 7 minutes after the crash, and saw people leaving the grandstand area and then also saw several people hurt. Gilliam says he also saw power lines down on the ground and against portable toilets. He says he also saw a monster truck with a power line still on top of it. Gilliam says he was told the truck had gone into the air after hitting a dirt jump on the track and hit the power lines, causing several poles to break and fall.
