VIDEO: A Bar Harbor woman was taken to the hospital with what’s described as life threatening injuries, after her car hit a utility pole in Levant. Levant Fire and Rescue arrived on scene six minutes after they got the call just before 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday. They say the car hit the pole, knocking wires down and the vehicle caught fire. When they arrived, the driver was out of the car on the ground and unresponsive. The Bangor Daily News identifies her as 38-year old Jennifer Archie. Archie was pulled to safety by bystanders after her vehicle caught fire. First responders were then able to get her into an ambulance safely. They were also able to prevent any major damage after the fire started to spread to a nearby house. The crew was able to knock the fire down before the entire house caught fire.
