Firefighters responded to a call of a fully involved pickup truck fire shortly after 8:30 a.m. Friday. Billowing black smoke was visible from the top of the M-104 Bridge on the west end of Spring Lake. The truck was parked just a few feet away from a home at 744 Summer St. in the Village of Spring Lake. Firefighters had the blaze extinguished within minutes of arrival, but by then, the heat of the blaze had melted siding on the house.
