A man and two dogs were rescued from a house fire Wednesday night on Flint’s north side.
Firefighters with the Flint Fire Department responded around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 to the 300 block of Welch Boulevard near Mason Street and Martin Luther King Avenue, for a report of a structure fire at a three-story home.
“They put it out as a possible entrapment,” said Flint Fire Battalion Chief Kwame Hogan.
Smoke was coming from the home due to a fire in the kitchen, Hogan said.
“Crews went in fairly quickly (and) found one victim in the living room,” said Hogan.
The male victim was transported to Hurley Medical Center for treatment. A condition was not immediately available.
