Newaygo County: Man found dead after fire engulfs home

State police are investigating a fatal fire Friday, Nov. 29, at a home near Sand Lake. The victim, Rodolfo Quesada, 59, was found dead inside his home early in the in Newaygo County’s Ensley Township, state police said. The fire was reported just after midnight in the 9300 block of E. 128th St. The house was engulfed in flames when rescuers reached the scene. The victim’s body was found inside after Grant and Sand Lake firefighters put the fire out. He was the only one in the home. He was identified by fingerprint-identification technology, state police said. The cause of the fire is under investigation. State police from the Hart post were also assisted by Newaygo County Sheriff’s Department, Newaygo County Medical Examiner’s Office and state police Fire Investigation Unit.
