Masked men rob, pistol-whip woman, set house on fire near Detroit

Masked men barged into a Detroit-area home on Wednesday, Oct. 16, attacked and robbed it residents and then set the house on fire. Three masked men are believed to be involved in the incident at a house on the city’s west side near the intersection of Grand River Avenue and 30th Street, ClickOnDetroit reports. The residents were robbed at gunpoint, police said. One woman was knocked out when she was pistol-whipped and had to be removed from the home by firefighters; she was rushed to a hospital but the severity of her injuries are unknown. A woman in her 60s said a gun was held to her head and she had seconds to get out of the house. Gasoline was poured throughout the house before the intruders set it on fire, according to the report.
