Apparently Keith Van Beek has been doing a good job ... and so too have been those sworn "to protect and serve" in the Tulip City. On Wednesday night, the Holland City Council approved a new five-year deal with the City Manager following a recent review of his performance that was “positive,” according to a memo from City Attorney Ron Vander Veen. Van Beek's initial two-year pact was set to expire at the end of this month. "I'm very pleased and honored to serve not only the Mayor and Council, but the community," he said on "WHTC Talk of the Town" during his monthly appearance on Thursday. "Any success that we've had is because of the staff that we have here in the City of Holland."
