Five people were transported to local hospitals Thursday morning after a car crashed into a truck on St. Clair Highway. Around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, the driver of a Chevy was eastbound on St. Clair Highway west of Indian Trail Road when they rear-ended a truck that also was eastbound on St. Clair Highway, St. Clair Fire Chief David Westrick said. Westrick said he didn't know whether the truck was moving when it was struck.
