Two men died Tuesday afternoon in a traffic crash that closed M-15 for several hours in Brandon Township.
The crash occurred just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, on South Ortonville Road north of Oak Hill Road.
The two men were in separate vehicles that collided head-on, both wearing seatbelts, both from Brandon Township, and both the lone occupants of their vehicles. A 2014 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by 52-year-old Kenneth Kauffman, was driving northbound on M-15, while a 2009 Ford F-150 driven by 71-year-old Clyde Alvis, Jr., was traveling southbound.
Brandon Township firefighters assisted at the scene.
The northbound vehicle crossed the center line into the southbound lane, smashing into the Ford F-150, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office reported.
